Vereda dos Balcões (route PR11) offers some of the most beautiful views of the entire island. It is also an excellent low difficulty trail for a run.

Hiking
The short hike to the viewpoint is very rewarding and really doable for everyone. You hike along a levada through dense laurel forest with huge tree ferns. From the viewpoint, you enjoy a view of the island's highest peaks.
