The road was built in the 1700s to enable soldiers to move quickly to and from Inversaid Garrison.
The panoramic mountain views along this path are sublime. You've got Maol Mor to your left, Beinn Uamha to your right and Cruinn Beinn up ahead, all enveloping the crystal clear, still waters of Loch Arklet.
