Lake Minnequa Park

The Lake Minnequa Trail offers a wonderfully relaxed touring cycling experience, circling the scenic Lake Minnequa in Pueblo. You'll ride along a mostly flat, wide gravel path, enjoying continuous views of the lake and its surrounding wetlands. This easy 2.8-mile (4.6 km) loop, with only 8 feet (2 metres) of elevation gain, is perfect for a quick outing, taking about 24 minutes. Parking is readily available within Lake Minnequa Park and Open Space, and there are no fees or permits needed. It's an excellent choice for families, beginners, or anyone seeking a leisurely pedal.

Historically significant, Lake Minnequa was once part of the CF&I steel mill's operations before becoming a public park. Today, it's a key part of the Pueblo Trail System, offering connectivity to 30 miles of multi-use trails. The park also provides amenities like picnic tables, making it a great spot to relax before or after your ride.
