Kalogiros Peak lies on the southwestern slopes of Mount Chelmos. It is part of the Chelmos-Vouraikos National Park, an area of high ecological importance.
Hiking: A popular route starts in the village of Planitero (about 25 km from Kalavryta). The trail leads eastwards through a gully to the summit of Kalogiros.
The Chelmos Mountains are
known for the Kalavryta ski resort, which extends to an altitude of 2,340 m. The Aristarchos Telescope is also located near the main peak (Psili Korfi).
