This building was the office and paint exhibition of the Vettewinkel company. It was commissioned for the company in 1889, although the origins of the family business date back to 1809, when Dirk Vettewinkel founded his paint manufacturer.
The building was used by the company until the 1970s, but burned down completely in 1973. Only the facade survived, the rest of the building was demolished (and later rebuilt).
