In the buildings around the market square, you can already see the proximity to the Netherlands in the architecture. Although Vreden itself was never part of the Netherlands, it was inspired by the design of the neighboring country. Several cafes around the market place invite you to take a break and enjoy the atmosphere of the city.

Good ice cream parlor on the market square, the "KULT" museum is well worth seeing, a beautiful little park with a farmhouse museum and the absolute highlight is the Geelink bakery at the church. "Bread and Wine" shop, great assortment, all handcrafted according to traditional recipes and made entirely naturally. There is also a small café.
