The Scharberg settlement was once home to the farm workers of the Trenthorst estate and their families. On both sides of the street there are red brick apartment buildings with gables. The lovingly designed green and white gables and bay windows are particularly striking. In 1936, the Trenthorst-Wulmenau double estate came into the private ownership of the cigarette manufacturer Philipp F. Reemtsma, who brought the estate, which was heavily in debt at the time, back to prosperity. These farm workers' houses were probably built in the years before the war.
