In 1902, Emil Ebneter created an alcoholic drink in Appenzell, the recipe of which is still in the family today. Only the ingredients are known: 42 herbs and spices.
The recipe for Appenzell Alpine bitters has remained unchanged since then. It is made from 100 percent natural raw materials and without chemical ingredients.
A coveted special award crowns the Appenzeller Alpenbitter: At the Meininger’s International Spirits Award ISW, the specialty from Appenzell wins the title “Herbal Liqueur of the Year 2022”.
