It's these kinds of unexpected, beautiful places that I walk for! As you turn off Town Street onto the Snargate Hill road, the road drops quite dramatically towards Snargate Farm and the view is of the "classic English countryside" variety!
Then, the road climbs to Snargate Hill (hence the name of the road) and Snargate Wood. It's worth turning back to look to the south - incredible view downhill! Additionally, on the southern edge of Snargate Wood (to the left of the road), there is an old sandstone quarry slightly hidden under a tree.
