The old town mill (Plate 14a) – also called the Raths Mill – housed in the former "Malt Village Building," was fed for several centuries by a mill race approximately 1,000 meters long. After the "Malt Village Building" was demolished, the mighty waterwheel was rebuilt in working order at its former location. Since then, it has been powered by well water and rotates for a few minutes every hour.
