Hiking
The German Colony is a part of Jerusalm that was shaped by German-speaking colonists over a century. The houses here are correspondingly solid and neat. Numerous information boards provide information about the history of the houses and their builders. The Templars came from Württemberg and settled here in the 19th century. During the Second World War, the German-born settlers were shipped into exile in Australia. Apart from the interesting history, the German Colony is a nice neighborhood with low buildings, lots of cafes, restaurants and an arthouse cinema.
