From the top of Jolly mountain, in one direction lay a series of jagged peaks off in the distance, including those such as Chimney Rock, Bear’s Breast, Lemah Mountain, and Summit Chief Mountain. To the southwest stood none other than the most prominent mountain in the state, Mount Rainier.
