The trail begins near Rifugio Pratizzano, which serves as a convenient starting point for your adventure. While hiking, you will find ancient peat bogs like Borra Scura along the way. At Lago Calamone, you can stop at Rifugio Venusta for refreshments, making it a good spot to rest before or after your descent.
The Sentiero dei Rastrellamenti, or Roundup Trail, is named for its historical significance.
