South Side Hiking Trail runs alongside the Monongahela River just north of Emerald View Park and offers stunning views of the waterfront. This section of the trail leads to or from Southside Riverfront Park, depending on which direction you're coming from, and takes you past what is known as The Color Park. The path continues on to Station Square Trail in one direction and South Shore Riverfront Park before reaching Great Allegheny Passage in the other.
