Duisburg Zoo is investing a seven-figure sum in the construction of a new pygmy hippo house. The project will include over 600 m² of outdoor facilities and a roughly 700 m² warm house for the animals, complete with rest areas, shady spots, and various bathing areas. It is also planned to keep the pygmy hippos together with a small species of monkey. Become part of the 'Pygmy Hippopotamus Team' and support Duisburg Zoo with your donation. Proceeds from the "Hippo Art" project will also contribute to the construction of the new pygmy hippo house.
