The trail leads above the Hochfeldern-Alm, past the Felderer Joch, and continues towards the Gatterl border crossing (Austria/Germany) or to the Knorrhütte.
On the classic Gatterl Tour to the Zugspitze, the trail forms the central ascent path in the middle section.
