Lake Malghera is located along the route that starts from the town of Malghera, where there is a refuge, and goes up the Val Malghera up to the homonymous pass. There is a bivouac along the shore of the lake. The lake is beautiful and offers extraordinary views.
The trail is steep on both sides of the lake, but the part around the lake is quite flat and easy, making for a nice break from the strenuous uphill or downhill ride.
