The Metropolitan Church of Argostoli (also known as the Cathedral of Argostoli or Sotiros Church).
The original cathedral was located in the pedestrian street "Lithostroto" and was dedicated to "Sotira" (Savior). Like almost the entire city, it was completely destroyed in the devastating earthquake of 1953. In the following years, it was rebuilt in its current location on Vergati Street.
The building has been rebuilt in a modern style, but contains elements of the old church "Our Lady of Fussatu". Inside, there are valuable icons by the famous hagiographer Theodoro Pulaki.
