In 1941, most of the disabled people from Himmelkron, Neuendettelsau, Bruckberg, Engelthal and Polsingen were transferred to specially established killing centers as part of the "T 4" campaign. In Himmelkron, 201 women and girls were taken away and insidiously murdered. The victims are mourned with the memorial stone in the courtyard of the Himmelkroner homes.
