At the southern end of the market square, just a few meters from the Reichsstädter Fountain, the coats of arms of the city of Aalen and its partner cities Christchurch, Tatabánya, Saint Lô and Cervia as well as the Wischauer Sprachinsel sponsorship region are embedded as mosaics in the market square floor.
