Here in the Dünsberggrund, this site has been in the hands of iron smelters, blacksmiths and charcoal burners since prehistory. A gorge-like, well-springed incision in the terrain, which was formerly known as Tell, stretches up the mountain. This west-facing slope with its 3 springs was advantageous for a smelting site. As a result, the favorable valley wind could be used as a draft for the operation of the wind ovens. More in the video:
