Freedom Tower (Tour de la Liberté), built on the occasion of the bicentennial of the French Revolution in 1989 by Jean-Marie Hennin (architect) and Nicolas Normier (specialist in metal construction) initially in the Tuileries of Paris. The inauguration in Saint-Dié took place on July 14, 1990. Dedication of the artists: We devote all zeal and energy consumed to achieving freedom to those for whom every hope of attaining the lack of understanding and anxiety of others ceases to be physically and mentally handicapped, asylum seekers and abandoned. Height 36 meters, length of the big wings 32 meters.
