The first section, approximately 560 meters long, is now complete.
This brings the district, for the first time, right up to the Elbe River along a wide front – and also forms an important link between the urban areas south and east of the Elbe bridges, the western parts of HafenCity, and the city center.
With a direct view of the Elbe and the opposite Grasbrook peninsula, the Kirchenpauerkai forms the southern end of the district and the entire neighborhood.
