Hiking

The war memorial standing opposite the gates to Balmoral Castle, on South Deeside Road, Crathie, commemorates all the former Balmoral Estate workers who lost their lives during both World War I and II and to the people of Crathie.
It was designed by Dr William Kelly and sculptured by Sir James Taggart.
A small plaque beside the memorial informs the public that the memorial was unveiled by King George V on 3 September 1922.
