Hiking

The eighteenth century De Vier Eiken district, with the farm of the same name, stood at an intersection with four oak trees, one on each corner. The border between the municipalities of Zedelgem and Snellegem literally runs through the kitchen of this former forester's house. The house was built in 1776 by the Civil Almshouses (current OCMW). The northern monumental barn was built in the third quarter of the nineteenth century.

Hiking

The map of Ferraris (1771-1778) does not yet show the farm. The Atlas der Buurtwegen (1844) already shows the volumes of the house, perpendicular stable and bakehouse north of the house. The large barn was added later in the 19th century.
