On the banks of the Llobregat, the Colonia de Cal Bassacs preserves the industrial landscape that was born with the expansion of the textile industry in the 19th century. The factory used the river's force to move its machinery, and around it grew a small community with housing and services for the workers. Today, its stone and brick buildings continue to form a set inseparable from the river that gave it life.
