There is a monument in the Charterhouse garden that commemorates the famous guest. The bronze bust of Chopin, created by the sculptor Joan Miró, shows the composer in a thoughtful pose, looking out at the landscape. The inscription on the base reads: "Frédéric Chopin - 1810-1849 - The genius who composed immortal works here in the winter of 1838/39."
