Tips

October 27, 2026

Pencil Pine Falls is beautiful, dropping about 10 metres in several strands over a ledge of dark rock into a wide pool, with its tea-stained water coloured by the tannins in Pencil Pine Creek. From this lookout, the falls sit framed by pencil pines and tall eucalypts, with open grassland beyond the trees. The pool below is a popular spot for a swim, though the water stays cold even in warmer months.
