Keep an eye out for the ancient Loricato pines, often called "living fossils," which thrive in these harsh environments, and enjoy panoramic views from the summit of Monte Pollino.
This challenging trail requires very good fitness, sure-footedness, sturdy shoes, and alpine experience.
