This hike to the Morghirolo mountain lake can also be done as an additional hike on the afternoon of the first day if you spend the night in the Capanna.

The Lago di Morghirolo is a mountain lake in the canton of Ticino below the Pizzo Campolungo. It is located in the municipality of Dalpe at 2263 meters above sea level. The picturesque Morghirolo Lake is flanked by mountains on three sides, and access is only flat on its southwest shore. The Piumogna River springs from the lake and flows into the Ticino near Faido.
Just west of the lake is a SAC hut, the Capanna Campo Tencia, which offers accommodation as well as food.
