The rue du Jerzual connects the upper town, characterized by narrow streets and defensive walls, high up on the hillside with the harbor below, on the banks of the Rance. The cobbled, steeply down to the river road is lined with numerous half-timbered houses. In the past, craftsmen used to have their workshops here, especially blacksmiths, tanners and carpenters, but today shops and the studios and magazines of numerous artisans can be found in the restored buildings.
