Hiking
On the north coast of Mallorca, the Spanish Navy erected 28 sounding towers in pairs at a distance of 1240 meters and 200 meters apart. The towers were used by the Spanish fleet for deck sounding during military exercises between 1941 and 1970. These towers, reminiscent of obelisks with their slender construction, were often painted white with a red marking on the top.
