Embark on the Incinerator Ridge Trail for an easy hike spanning 3.2 miles (5.1 km) with a total elevation gain of 757 feet (231 metres). You can expect to complete this route in about 1 hour and 40 minutes. As you follow the ridge, you will encounter striking stone promontories and fantastic rock cliffs, offering expansive views across the landscape. The trail provides a unique experience as the scenery shifts from desert to mountain forest.
When planning your visit, note that parking is usually available right at the trailhead, making access straightforward. Be aware that some parts of the trail, particularly after the 2020 Bighorn Fire, might have overgrown sections with thorny plants. Wearing long pants is a good idea to protect yourself from these areas.
This route stands out for its exceptional views in all directions, allowing you to gaze upon the vast San Pedro River Valley and the Galiuro Mountains to the east. To the west, you can look down towards Sollers Point and Rose Pass. The Incinerator Ridge Trail offers a chance to experience the diverse natural beauty of the Coronado National Forest.
