This monument represents the old location of the former "Metelen train station" - this is exactly where it used to stand. This bronze monument was built by the Metelen local history society to commemorate the old location. In those days, of course, the "Pengel Anton" ran here regularly. Until the train station was moved to Metelen Land and the official route to the cycle path was built.
