The church was built in the reform style. The reform style turns away from historicism, but still adheres to building materials, construction methods and certain stylistic elements. The Christ Church is a hall church and has around 1200 seats. The portal was designed by Peter Pöppelmann. The two church towers (each 66m high) are the church's distinctive features. It is the last remaining Dresden church with twin towers. The dome, which has a span of 18m, is impressive.
