The Evangelical Lutheran fieldstone church is one of the oldest and most beautiful churches in Northern Germany. It was built in the 13th century.

Hiking

The fieldstone church with the recessed square choir was built in the mid-13th century, the substructure of the square west tower made of mixed masonry probably in the 15th century. The wall paintings in the choir and nave, uncovered in 1983-85, date from the second half of the 13th century and thus from the time of construction. The motifs show allegorical scenes, individual figures, mythical creatures, symbols and ornaments, as well as architectural motifs.
The church is locked, the key can be obtained at the rectory next door.
