The Tianma Radio-Telescope is a 65m radio telescope a little west of Sheshan. It’s construction was decided in 2008 and it started operation in 2012.
It is part of the Chinese VLBI network, with other telescopes near Beijing, Kunming and Wulumuqi.
It also cooperates with other international networks.
This highlight is on the riverbank opposite the telescope - and a nice place for a photo opportunity.
