    Hiking

Expect stunning views just outside of Boise. The trails are well-marked and you can connect the Five Mile Gulch to a loop if you hike along Three Bears and Watchman trail.
Close to Boise with a sensational view and wonderful, very well signposted paths! Highly recommended! In winter it can also be slippery in the shady areas!

Five Mile Gulch Trail is a great connector to Watchman Trail and Orchard Gulch. It climbs gently through large Cottonwood and Locust trees with a few stream crossings. The last section above Watchman Trail climbs steeply and is better as a downhill.
