    Hiking

Very nice, clean beach with great sand and extremely clean water.

    Hiking

This peaceful beach is the perfect spot for some solitude. The only way to access the beach is from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, which makes it difficult for the crowds to come here. There are some great rock pools towards the eastern end and a few caves to explore.

The slight detour off the coast path route (and the extra descent / climb back) to take in the view from Watwick Bay is worth it.

Clean sands, some great rock pools towards the eastern end and a few caves to explore. Have a breather here!

Embark on a moderate jogging route around St. Ann's Head from Dale, offering superb coastal scenery with dramatic cliff tops and expansive views across the water to islands like Skokholm. This 7.0-mile (11.2 km) loop involves an elevation gain of 536 feet (163 metres) and typically takes about 1 hour and 21 minutes to complete. As you jog, the path twists and turns, revealing hidden beaches such as Watwick Bay and Castle Beach Bay, and provides vistas up the Milford Haven estuary, with the historic West Blockhouse Point and a lighthouse serving as key landmarks.

For your visit, parking is typically available in Dale, which serves as the convenient starting point for this loop. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path, where this route is located, is generally accessible, and the area is known for being one of the sunniest in Wales, increasing your chances of clear views. While suitable for jogging, be aware that numerous stiles and varied terrain along the way might interrupt a steady running pace.

This route within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is notable for its blend of natural beauty and historical significance. Beyond the stunning coastal vistas, you have the chance to spot diverse wildlife, including seabirds and even porpoises in the waters below. The presence of historic sites like West Blockhouse Point adds a layer of cultural interest to your outdoor experience.
