The bell tower built in regular masonry is in Romanesque style, tall and mighty, has a floor of single-lancet windows and two of double-arched mullioned windows. The church of San Giovanni is composed of a single-nave hall divided into six bays with pointed arches (pointed sixth angle) characteristic of the Gothic style, the interior is rich in paintings and sculptures, frescoes from the 17th century by the Fiammenghino school and portions of walls frescoed in the 15th century. Worthy of note is a canvas by Giovanni Battista Trotti known as Malosso (1555-1619) depicting the Conversion of Saint Paul.
