    The ascent from Wernigerode to Schierke leads mainly through a valley. The first few kilometers are quite leisurely uphill, then on a section of about 2 kilometers from Drei Annen Hohne increases the slope to up to 10 percent. The traffic makes the journey to Schierke unfortunately a bit uncomfortable.
