Hiking
The short hike leads without any noticeable elevations through the lava fields emitted by Montaña Blanca and the typical high mountain bush vegetation, past the remains of a former sanatorium. The end point of the tour is at the foot of Guajara. On the way you can enjoy fantastic views of the Teide and the surrounding mountains of the national park.
In spring and early summer, when the plant life is in bloom, beekeepers set up hives in this area of the caldera.

Hiking
One of the trails in the middle of the crater is called Sanatorio. It goes from the foot of the last part of the Teide to the Roque del Rosal, through a unique place!
