    Hiking

The Guy Bradley Trail runs between the Flamingo Visitor Center and the Flamingo Campground and mostly takes you directly along the shore of Florida Bay. This well-maintained path allows you to repeatedly view the water and observe the activity there. The trail is known for the many birds and butterflies that can be seen seasonally.

    Hiking

This is a lovely trail that mostly goes along the Florida Bay but passes in and out of treed areas also. This used to be an old fishing village but now it is protected and a great place to bird watch.

The Guy Bradley and Eco Pond Trail Loop offers an easy hike through diverse landscapes in Everglades National Park. This 2.7-mile (4.4 km) route, with a minimal elevation gain of 9 feet (3 metres), takes about 1 hour and 5 minutes to complete. You will experience fantastic views of Florida Bay from the paved Guy Bradley Trail, then transition to the Eco Pond Trail, a half-mile loop around a freshwater pond, perfect for spotting wildlife.

When planning your visit, be aware that mosquitoes can be quite prevalent, especially around Eco Pond. It is highly recommended to bring mosquito repellent to ensure a comfortable experience on the trail. The route is conveniently accessible directly from the Flamingo Visitor Center, making it easy to start your adventure.

This loop combines two distinct trails, providing a unique opportunity to observe both coastal and freshwater ecosystems. Keep an eye out for coastal birds and osprey nests along Florida Bay, and then watch for wading birds, alligators, and turtles around Eco Pond. It is a prime location for birdwatching and photography, showcasing the rich biodiversity of the Everglades.
