The sculpture “de Waterput” is a gift from the former municipality of IJsselham to the inhabitants and was made by Hanneke Pereboom (1956). It depicts a woman with a bucket at a water pump and a little boy trying to grab the handle of the pump.
With the municipal reorganization in 2001, each village received its own work of art. Other works of art in the series are located in Oldemarkt, Kuinre, Blankenham, Scheerwolde, Kalenberg and Paasloo.
