Hiking

The railway line from Bergisch Gladbach to Bensberg was opened on October 15, 1870; from Cologne, the railway reached Bergisch Gladbach on December 4, 1868. On September 29, 1965, the railway stopped passenger traffic between Gladbach and Bensberg, and in 1989, freight traffic. Reactivation as a freight line with transshipment in the Zinkhütte industrial estate ended in 2012. The last trip on the tracks was the diesel V60 locomotive, which came to Bergisch Gladbach in September 2019 with "Rheingold" wagons.
