Hiking

In September 1996, the Ipsheim Wine Hiking Trail "Burg Hoheneck", which includes the entire vineyard trails, was officially opened with the 1st Wine Hiking Day. With this novelty in the Franconian wine region, hikers and fans of Franconian wine wanted to appeal equally. On the paths through the Ipsheim vineyards, information boards provide information about the opposite grape varieties, about natural viticulture, the soil relief and about the Hoheneck Castle, which is owned by the city of Nuremberg. The well-kept vineyards invite you to enjoy exciting hikes all year round.
