The Biesenbach viaduct is an impressive arched bridge with a length of 252.2 meters and a height of 24 meters. It was built from single-span girders using the so-called “fishbelly system” and has a radius of 360 meters.
This viaduct, built between 1888 and 1890, repeatedly encountered problems during the construction phase due to poor subsoil conditions.
