Don't go gentle into that good night is a poem by the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (1914–1953). This villanelle is Dylan Thomas' most famous poem. Since he didn't title it as usual, it was titled the first line of verse. The speaker in this poem states that at the end of their lives, old people should resist death as strongly as possible. They should leave this world kicking and screaming, furious that they have to die
