It is the Franciscan brothers who work and live in the Capuchin monastery founded by Count Lothar Franz von Schönborn in 1723. In the course of secularization, the monastery was not dissolved like elsewhere, but served as an extinct monastery. In 1825, brothers from the Bavarian Franciscan Province came to Gößweinstein, who had to give up the monastery in 2006. Since 2006 the brothers of the Wrocław Franciscan Province of St. Hedwig have looked after the pilgrimage church and parish. (Source: pfarrgemeinde-goessweinstein.de/arbeiter/)
