Playas de Troya I and II are the oldest beaches on Costa Adeje. Like most beaches on the island, the sand is of volcanic origin, fine and dark in color. It is a very busy urban beach surrounded by all kinds of hotel infrastructure, making it one of the tourist centers of the island.

The fine sandy dark beach of Playa de Troya offers a very good bathing opportunity and a beautiful promenade. Changing rooms and showers are available for bathing. The rental of sun loungers and umbrellas costs €12 (2 loungers plus umbrella). Many adjacent restaurants, cafes and bars on the promenade, also a popular place in the evening. A wooden footbridge or a wooden bridge leads from the promenade to the beach. There are also many shops for shopping here. Access to the sea is flat, hardly any higher waves due to the two stone dykes - ideal for families.
